

Get Active this May half-term
Children and young people can enjoy moving more this May half-term thanks to Wolverhampton’s Yo! Active. An exciting free activity timetable will be running across the city during the school holidays, and places can be booked now. A partnership with the City of Wolverhampton Council, WV Active and Wolves Foundation, Yo! Active provides free activities all year round for children up to 18, while care leavers and those with a disability can take part until the age of 25.

Pupils set to raise the roof by Singing In The Halls
Pupils from across the city will come together to raise the roof of University of Wolverhampton at The Halls at two special concerts tomorrow (Tuesday 19 May, 2026). City elects new Youth Council and Youth MPs

Year 8 pupils offered life-saving HPV vaccine in school
With vaccinations getting underway for Year 8 pupils in school, parents and guardians are being encouraged to provide consent for their children to receive the HPV (Human papillomavirus) vaccine, which helps protect against several types of cancer. The HPV vaccination programme, offered to girls since 2008 and boys from 2019, has markedly reduced HPV infections and rates of cervical cancer. It also helps protect against genital warts and some cancers of the genital areas
