Yo! Easter offers skills, sports and hobbies for everyone

Wolverhampton’s Yo! Easter programme is now live, offering hundreds of activities and events for the city’s children and young people and their families during the upcoming school holidays.

As usual, Yo! Wolves Easter includes a wide range of free activities – including free food – for eligible children and young people through the Holiday Activities Fund (HAF).

The activities, which are co-funded by the Department for Education, are offered alongside a comprehensive selection of free and paid for activities which are open to everyone.

The Easter programme runs from Monday 25 March to Friday 5 April and include sports, arts and crafts, dance and drama workshops, photography, fun days and much more.

Highlights include an introduction to the world of drones with School of Coding, mixed martial arts with MS Combat, music with Beetsa Bar, Easter crafts, jewellery making and family cooking sessions with New Park Village Activities Network and football and games at KIXX. Meanwhile, the the City of Wolverhampton Council’s WV Active leisure centres are working in partnership with Wolves Foundation to deliver Yo! Councillor Chris Burden, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said: “Following the continuing  success of Yo! Wolves, which last year saw more youngsters than ever before joining in with our school holiday programmes, we’re thrilled to be offering more brilliant activities organised by a host of fantastic local organisations over the Easter holidays.

“Many of these activities will continue throughtout 2024 – so it’s not just a one off experience, it’s a chance for youngsters to try something new, develop their skills and keep it up all year.“We are delighted that, by once again working with city partners and with funding from the Department for Education and the council, we can deliver another fun-packed programme with opportunities available and accessible in every area of Wolverhampton.

“There’s a lot going on, so please take a look and get involved in the Yo! Easter activities!”
