Children and young people can enjoy moving more this February half-term thanks to Wolverhampton’s Yo! Active.
An exciting free activity timetable will be running across the city during the school holidays, and places can be booked now.
A partnership with the City of Wolverhampton Council, WV Active and Wolves Foundation, Yo! Active provides free activities all year round for children up to 18, while care leavers and those with a disability can take part until the age of 25.
Special February half-term sessions start from Monday 16 February, 2026 and include Yo! Active cricket, Family Fun sessions and Taster Swim lessons. To see the full timetable and book free sessions, please visit www.wvactive.com/activities/february-half-term-2026.html.
Councillor Obaida Ahmed, Cabinet Member for Health, Wellbeing and Community, said: “Yo! Active is an excellent way to get our children and young people moving more, with a wide range of free opportunities available at locations around Wolverhampton, not only during half-term but all-year round.
"It’s important children and young people have the opportunity to become more physically active, as it improves heart health, builds strong muscles and bones, controls weight and reduces symptoms of anxiety and depression. It's also a great way to foster new relationships with friends.
“Around 18,000 children and young people have signed up to Yo! Active, and I would encourage young people, parents, and guardians to check out what is on offer and join in the fun.”
Tom Warren, General Manager of Wolves Foundation, added: “I’m really looking forward to the wide-ranging offer in this half-term’s Yo! Active programme. It’s a fantastic opportunity for young people to try new activities, keep active, build confidence, and have fun – all while feeling supported and included at venues across our city.”
