Research shows a strong link between communication skills and emotional well-being and suggests that many children who have with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties also have speech, language and communication needs (SLCN).

What are SEMH difficulties and SLCN? • How often do they occur together? • How do you tell the difference? • Tools for assessing SLCN and SEMH • Strategies to support children with SLCN and SEMH
Who is the course for?
Relevant to all teaching and non-teaching staff. It is also relevant to non-school staff who have a direct role working with children and young people and/or their families.
