When working with children who have experienced loss or bereavement we sometimes feel lost as to how best they can help in such circumstances. This session aims to provide information concerning children’s reactions to loss and bereavement and increase confidence in supporting them.It is good practice for schools to develop a plan in advance of responding to a crisis to minimise emotional distress and reduce long-term mental health problems for members of the school community; this session will also share information and resources to support this.
