Dear ‘Beat the Streeter’,
Congratulations on how far you have travelled already for Beat the Street. You are one of over 24,000 people taking part in the game and we hope that this is encouraging you to walk, run, cycle and even scoot more whilst you explore our wonderful city.
Councillor Paul Sweet and I would like to thank you for taking part in game, we are very excited to see the total miles increasing everyday and to hear your stories about how you are enjoying Beat the Street. We want to remind you that there are still over 3 weeks left of the game and whilst you won’t be walking to school everyday over the Easter break, there are still plenty of ways to keep earning points for you and your team.
Keep an eye out for bonus events, where beat boxes could be worth extra points. You will find a list of all bonus events and other activities to take part in over the Easter break by following @BeattheStreetWolves on facebook or @BTSWolves on twitter. This includes free access to Wightwick Manor with a Beat the Street card on Tuesday 11 April 2017 and a beatie toy for the best daily selfie.
Finally, we would like you to ask all adults playing the game with you to remember to register their cards. If they haven’t registered their cards, then the points won’t count to your team totals and they won’t be able to win lucky tap prizes. As soon as they register, the points earned to date will automatically be added to your team total. All primary school children’s cards and fobs are already registered but the extra cards for adults aren’t, this could be the difference between your team winning or not.
We hope that you will continue to enjoy Beat the Street and will help us reach our target of 200,000 miles, happy tapping!
